community standards.

Effective October 28, 2026. These terms describe how this independent community site operates.

What we collect

We store information you submit: name, email, neighborhood, volunteer interests, experience summaries, supporting documents, contact requests, discussion posts, email preferences, and RSVPs. Email sign-in uses a one-time link, valid for 15 minutes, and an essential secure session cookie lasting up to seven days. Sign-in links work in the browser that requested them. We store hashes of sign-in tokens and session identifiers, not the usable tokens. Expired sign-in records and sessions are removed during subsequent sign-in requests. ChatGPT sign-in remains optional for members and provides an account identifier, email, and possibly a display name. Organizers use ChatGPT sign-in. We use the verified email to retrieve your records.

We keep a limited organizer audit trail and hashed, time-limited request identifiers for spam prevention. We save basic campaign labels, source categories, and the public landing page with signup records to understand which community invitations work. A tab-session storage entry keeps those labels while you browse; it contains no unique visitor ID. We do not store full referral URLs, search terms, or query strings in signup attribution. These campaign counts are visible only to authorized organizers. The application does not install advertising trackers. Hosting and sign-in providers may process their own operational logs.

How information is used

Information supports membership administration, private case review, volunteer coordination, meeting planning, moderation, and community updates you opt into. We do not sell member information. We do not submit complaints to the City or contact third parties on your behalf simply because you use a form.

Who can see it

Private signups, case reports, documents, and contact requests are visible to the site owner and approved coordinators. Content editors can manage community announcements and moderate discussions. Other members can see approved discussion posts and the display name you choose, but cannot see your email, private case records, or documents. The public board shows published community updates, actions, and meetings.

Hosted database and file storage use the site’s Cloudflare-based infrastructure. If email sending is configured, recipient addresses and message content are sent to the configured email provider, currently supported through Resend. No email provider is active until the organizer connects one.

Your experiences & documents

Submitting an experience gives permission for private organizer review, not public publication. We ask for separate, specific permission before publicly using an identifiable account or supporting document. A case marked “reviewed” remains private. Please redact government identifiers, financial details, private addresses, and information about other people before uploading. Files are available only through authenticated downloads; no malware-scanning service is currently provided.

Email choices

Email updates require a separate opt-in and verified sign-in email. Every campaign includes an unsubscribe link, and you can change your preference in the member area. Optional community-news campaigns are separate from necessary service messages. At your request, we send sign-in links to verify your email. After verification, we may send membership welcomes, private case receipts and updates, RSVP confirmations, and privacy-request receipts. Organizer alerts contain links to the protected desk, not private case details. Anonymous signups do not trigger a welcome to an unverified address.

Retention, corrections & removal

We retain records while they support membership or an active organizing purpose, unless you ask for correction or removal. Organizers should periodically review inactive records. You can submit an access, correction, or deletion request below; sign in with the same email to verify your identity. Verified deletion requests can be processed by the owner to remove membership and case records, private files, RSVPs, email-outbox entries, and contact requests, and redact discussion content. Limited non-identifying audit entries may remain. Copies previously downloaded by authorized organizers or delivered by email are not automatically erased by the application.

The site is intended for adults. Please do not submit information about minors. No outcome, response time, legal representation, or change in City policy is guaranteed.
